A celestial ceiling mural with a crescent moon 🌙 such a fun little project and grateful to have art in such a beautiful home! 🏡 ❤️ on a side note, this did take a toll on my neck and also my hip from standing on a ladder in a weird way for so long 😆 still worth it! 😅

12 rescued dogs, 1 painting. Happy to finally have completed this project for @caitiesfosterfam @caitiesfosterfamrescue ! Each one of these pups was rescued & adopted out of Caitie’s Foster Fam Rescue, a non-profit rescue organization run by my friend here in the Houston area. You can support her efforts by giving her a follow and/or making a contribution to the rescue so they can continue fighting the stray dog crisis here in the Greater Houston area and saving dogs who desperately need help. & a special shout out to @okaysawyer for making the winning bid on this painting I donated at the gala last October! She’s been very patiently waiting for me to finish it and yay, that time has finally come! 🎉 Kristin is the proud adopter of both Mittens and Pippa, two dogs that are in the painting (bottom left and bottom right) and both whom were rescued and adopted thanks to the efforts of caitie’s rescue. These are just 13 of many many dogs (and cats) who have been saved over the years. It was an honor to paint them and I’m glad to finally see this project come to an end so the painting can be enjoyed. 🐶 🙂

Rowan turned 2 yesterday! We had a small celebration at home with his little friend Avery & even had a visit from Santa Claus himself! My little Christmas Eve Eve baby, it’s so easy to celebrate you! At two years old, Rowan is a busy boy who loves throwing balls, cruising on his balance bike, and giving kisses to his stuffed animals. 🧸 he keeps us laughing everyday and we’re so proud to be his mama & dada. We love you Rowan Rainn 🥹❤️

Motherhood has been keeping me very busy and creating art has looked a lot slower for me in this current chapter of life. But worry not! I’ve been working on a few surprise pet portraits that will be gifted for Christmas. I finally wrapped the first one up last night & am shipping it off to Maryland today. Although I can’t post it yet, I’m excited to share it once it has been gifted! 🎁

I’m still making art and I’m still accepting commissions for pet portraits, murals and abstract art. It may be at a slower pace but I’m still doing the work while also raising my sweet little busy boy ❤️

Sadly, I did google the word squawk before painting this but saw the word squack too and didn’t think much of it so I went with that to only then misspell squack as well. Ya win some, ya lose some lol I can only laugh at myself and blame my tired mama brain because my 1.5 year old still doesn’t sleep through the night. Or maybe I would have misspelled it even with great sleep. We will never know. I may fix this painting eventually but for now, we have “Squawk, Squack, Squak”. 36x36 on an imperfect wood panel because I made it myself. Available. Please laugh with me and not at me 😆
